Letter: Take care of South Dakota’s interests

 To the Editor:

In one of her campaign ads on TV, Stephanie Herseth Sandlin asks, “What can a politician get away with?” That is a good question to ask Stephanie about her bribery of the Native Americans on three South Dakota reservations by giving them a free meal, pushing her campaign agenda and transporting them immediately afterward to early voting polling places.

The objections to the “feeds” by other candidates has nothing to do with “causing racial tensions” or “trying to suppress the American Indians from voting” as she tries to claim. We only want honest elections. Stop and think, South Dakotans — do we want our political elections decided this way?

I’m glad to see that the legality of the reservation feeds is being investigated by state and federal officials. Maybe if some charges were brought against them, the Democratic candidates would be more honest in their activities.

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin has been our lone representative for too long. She accepts campaign funds from pro-abortion groups, always votes against life on every issue, and even has her husband lobbying in Congress. Isn’t this a conflict of interest?

Let’s vote for Kristi Noem and get some South Dakota interests taken care of.
